Arts and crafts are two manifestations of ones creativity and talent that can enhance your imagination. 

There are lots of materials that can be use to form a beautiful art or craft. As an artist or craftsman, you can use almost everything as material resources to form a masterpiece.  You can use stones, cans, mud, sand, toilet paper rolls, tissue paper, straw and almost everything.  It depends on your imagination how will you form it into a beautiful work of art.

How about making a wall art out of tissue?  You can create your own custom wall art. In trying to do this tissue paper art, you don’t have to be an artist to create these one of a king work of art.

For this you’ll need canvas, newspaper or cloth, various colors of tissue paper, white paste, foam brush and the most important, imagination.

Procedures:

  1. Get your supplies.  Look for a clean work surface.  Start putting together your tissue paper wall art.  Cover the work surface with newspaper or cloth to avoid damages.
  2. On the work surface, lay your prepared canvas face up.
  3. Tear tissue paper into small pieces of strips.  Set aside.  You can make a monochromatic effect by tearing different hues of same color. 
  4. Squirt paste onto your canvas.  To spread the glue out, use a foam brush.
  5. Get a piece of tissue paper and lay it on top of the glue.  Apply additional glue on top of it.  Using your foam brush, smoothing any bubbles.
  6. Repeat it until the whole canvas is covered with tissue paper. 
  7. For 24 hours, hang it to dry.  After one day you may hang now you tissue paper wall art.

Tips:

  1. You can experiment using different color combinations and different sizes of tissue paper. You can horizontally glue long strips across the canvas and overlap it a bit. You can make a sunset effect or you can add multi-colored squares to create modern wall art.
  2. On the same wall, you can make a series of artwork by hanging three tissue paper creations together.
