Rekindling the Essence of Thanksgiving with Thanksgiving Paper Crafts
Thanksgiving Day, a legal holiday in the United States, is an American tradition of giving thanks and prayers. In 1621, a governor by the name of William Bradford proclaimed a day of thanksgiving and prayer. It was a three day “thank you” celebration of the leaders of Wampanaog, an Indian tribe. It was the tradition of this Indian tribe to treat their visitors to their home and share whatever they had. In 1863, President Lincoln issued a proclamation for the whole American people. They observe a special day of thanksgiving.
